26 going on 27 had some bad events recent years Do I still have a chance of going pro?

I am currently 26 turning 27 soon. At age 19 I started boxing, was soon to turn amateur then COVID struck and the world shut down. About 2 years later I started training mma at age 22 when world reopened. I did amateur kickboxing and some jiu jitsu tournaments with reasonable success. At age 24, I planned to debut when I was early 25 unfortunately I got hit by a car at 50 mph or so and sustained severe neck and face injuries. It took me about a year to heal, I fought again 11 months after and won, I have not really fought since. I have been training because I want to debut in mma still, but no one really treats me the same like I was after the crash even though I broke some of my own pre crash personal records. (Like I’m damaged goods or something) I did sustain neck injuries that have healed for 95% of the part. I do have some face lacerations on my right side, but they have had nearly 2 years healing. I am well healed now for the most part, but I’m wondering if it’s even worth it anymore. Again I am not starting training at 27, I would be debuting amateur, but I only want to do it if I have a real shot at getting to a big promotion. Idk what do you think?? I am currently a blue belt btw and I have 3 kickboxing fights in experience so far *I am also abnormally athletic and strong still for my weight and size I am 5’7 155 I fight 135-145 lbs. but again I am gettting older but I feel cool. submitted by /u/Limp_Fish_5196 [link] [comments]
