5-rounders in top 5 fights

Hey guys, dont know if somebody talked about this recently, but: Why are some of the "title condtender" fights only 3 rounders? Like, a three round fight is the stupidiest thing how to decide a next title shot which lasts 5 rounds. The last fights i remember that i thought like, how the fuck are these two guys going only for three are: Jiri vs Hill (1:1 after two, Hill may have thought he was losing 2:0) Blacho vs Pereira (controversial split decision, five rounder would decide better) Usman/Burns vs Khamzat (we've all seen that Khamzat slows down) I just dont get how you can match two elite, possibly top 5 guys and give them 3 rounds to prove they can fight 5 rounder for a title Sorry if too deep, it's my birthday and im kinda relaxed submitted by /u/Hajty11 [link] [comments]
