Sportsnet’s Elliotte Friedman reports that the veteran defenceman is returning for a second stint with the Avalanche.
Johnson has appeared in 22 games with the Flyers this season scoring a goal while adding two assists.
The 37-year-old previously spent 13 seasons with the Avalanche winning a Stanley Cup with the team in 2022.
Johnson joined the Flyers this past off-season on a one-year, $1 million deal.
In 1,009 career games, Johnson has 94 goals and 346 points.
