Georgiev has been listed as day-to-day due to an upper-body injury.
The 28-year-old earned wins in his past three starts and holds a 4-5-0 record, 3.56 goals-against average and .863 save percentage over 10 games this season.
Georgiev recorded a career-high 40 wins during the 2022-23 campaign — tied with Linus Ullmark for most in the league — and led all netminders with 38 wins last season.
Colorado recalled Trent Miner from the American Hockey League on Friday to back up Justus Annunen.
The Avalanche are fourth in the Central Division with a 9-9-0 record.
