Berube believes Woll should stick to piano after appearance with Kygo

Toronto Maple Leafs goaltender Joseph Woll tried to expand his musical talents, but his head coach believes he should stick to what he’s good at.
Woll and teammate Mitch Marner took the stage at the Kygo concert in Toronto on Thursday night. Woll decided to take his moment of fame when the singer pointed the microphone in his direction.
Safe to say Woll’s singing didn’t resonate with the rest of the Leafs team.
“Stick to playing the piano,” coach Craig Berube said about Woll’s performance.
“It was something I could only watch once,” Auston Matthews added.
While the Leafs goaltender might not have a post-playing career as a singer, he can at least have a backup plan with the piano.
Woll has shown his gifted ability a few times, including a performance of the theme from Hans Zimmer’s Interstellar.

Woll has been playing since he was about 10 or 12 years old.
“I took piano lessons for a couple months (when I started playing) but I didn’t really love it,” Woll told NHL.com last year. “I really just like playing what I like to play so I just took it for a few months when I was younger, and since then it’s just been something I’ve worked on, on my own as a hobby outside of hockey.”
