Cole Sillinger left Sunday’s game against the Winnipeg Jets with a lower-body injury and was later ruled out by the team.
Sillinger, 21, blocked a shot from Jets defenceman Colin Miller in the second period and appeared to favour his left leg. The Columbus native attempted to come back into the game in the third but quickly went back to the dressing room.
In 25 games this season, Sillinger sits fourth on the Blue Jackets with 18 points (four goals, 14 assists).
Columbus returns to the ice when it kicks off a three-game homestand Tuesday against the Philadelphia Flyers.
