Blue Jays’ Erik Swanson, Jets’ Eric Comrie form formidable pitcher-catcher duo

Ahead of the Jets’ Saturday night matchup against Minnesota, Winnipeg goalie Eric Comrie had some fun with Toronto Blue Jays reliever Erik Swanson as he stood near centre ice of Canada Life Centre catching pitches from the six-year MLB veteran.
The netminder was fully invested in his new role and may have found himself a new gig once the hockey season is over. Comrie blamed the glove for a passed ball and even started calling pitches.
“What’s your most movement … let’s see it, I want to see that,” the 29-year-old said.
It’s the second time Swanson has attended a Jets game as a member of the Blue Jays. Maybe next time we’ll get to see the Fargo, N.D., native lace up the skates and shoot on Comrie.
