Dylan Holloway is ready to return to the ice after leaving the St. Louis Blues‘ comeback win on Tuesday early following a scary injury.
The team announced that the centre is expected in the lineup as the Blues host the Utah Hockey Club on Thursday.
Holloway was struck in the neck by a puck in the first period and was later taken to the hospital on Tuesday. The incident occurred with 2:37 left in the frame. He proceeded to finish his shift before skating back to his team’s bench under his own power.
As play was stopped with 1:11 remaining for a high-sticking penalty that was later called off, teammates started calling and gesturing for assistance.

Blues trainer Ray Barile and medical staff from both teams tended to Holloway for several minutes before emergency medical technicians carted him off the bench on a stretcher.
He was back skating on Thursday morning and participated in the line rushes during pre-game warmups.
“I feel way better,” Holloway said Wednesday, less than 15 hours after the scary incident occurred. “Obviously it was a scary situation. From what I’ve been told, the puck hit the vagus nerve in my neck. As soon as I got hit, I knew something was a little off… As far as I’m concerned, I feel good. I feel pretty normal. I feel like I’m ready to go.”
Holloway is expected to play on the top line with Pavel Buchnevich and Jake Neighbours, meaning Brandon Saad shifts to the second line with Brayden Schenn and Jordan Kyrou.
