The Vancouver Canucks missed two key forwards at practice on Sunday.

Both Elias Pettersson and Nils Hoglander missed Canucks practice in New Jersey on Sunday, however they have not yet been ruled out for Monday’s game against the Devils.

The two forwards left the game on Saturday against the New York Rangers with separate injuries. Pettersson left halfway through the second period after showing some discomfort prior to taking a face-off. Hoglander left the game as well, after only 7:03 of ice time.

Forward Aatu Raty has been brought up from the AHL’s Abbotsford Canucks and put on standby but did not join in at practice on Sunday. Rookie defenceman Elias Pettersson filled in as the 12th forward during practice.

Pettersson has 15 goals and 45 points in 63 games this season but recently has begun to turn his game around, he had recorded points in the five contests prior to Saturday.

Hoglander has six goals and 21 points, six of which came in his last five games.
