Canucks’ Quinn Hughes late addition to lineup vs. Kings
Defenceman Quinn Hughes, who participated in warm-ups but didn’t appear to take line rushes with the team, was a late addition for the Canucks Wednesday night against the Los Angeles Kings.

After some confusion, the Vancouver Canucks finally got some good news: The captain is back.
Defenceman Quinn Hughes, who participated in warm-ups but didn’t appear to take line rushes with the team, was a late addition for the Canucks Wednesday night against the Los Angeles Kings.
Hughes was a game-time decision and was previously listed as a scratch on the NHL’s media website during warm-ups, but was upgraded just before puck drop.
The Canucks will roll with seven defencemen and 11 forwards and will likely manage Hughes’ minutes.
Hughes has not played since Jan. 31 against the Dallas Stars, when he suffered an undisclosed injury. Despite missing six games, the 2024 Norris Trophy-winner still leads the Canucks with 59 points in 47 games.
