The Vancouver Canucks blueline is in for another shake-up.

The team is trading defenceman Carson Soucy to the New York Rangers in exchange for a third-round pick, per Sportsnet’s Elliotte Friedman.

According to Friedman, the trade includes no salary retention for Vancouver.

Soucy, 30, took a dip this season and was healthy-scratched by head coach Rick Tocchet twice ahead of the 4 Nations Face-Off break.

Friedman reported earlier in February that the Canucks were actively searching for a trade partner for Soucy.

The Viking, Alta. native has three goals and 10 points in 59 games, but sits at a career-low minus-13.

He signed a three-year, $9.75 million contract with the Canucks as a free agent in 2023.
