The Cardinals turned what could have been a disaster into a celebration in the first quarter of Sunday's home game against the Patriots.
Quarterback Kyler Murray was stripped of the ball on his way into the end zone and the ball was rolling toward the end line when right tackle Jonah Williams fell on the ball. Officials ruled that Williams recovered the ball before touching the boundary and the Cardinals lead 10-0 as a result.
Running back James Conner picked up 60 yards on the ground during the touchdown drive and Murray is now 4-of-4 for 34 yards through the air.
The Cards opened the scoring with a 49-yard field goal by former Patriot Chad Ryland. The Patriots saw Joey Slye miss a 53-yard field goal on their first possession.
