A special teams play has gotten the club off to a good start against the 3-10 Browns.
While the offense initially went three-and-out, cornerback Chris Roland-Wallace forced a fumble on punt returner James Proche that Chiefs running back Samaje Perine recovered at the Cleveland 21.
From there, it took just three plays for the Chiefs to get into the end zone. Patrick Mahomes tossed a 7-yard touchdown to JuJu Smith-Schuster, giving Kansas City an early 7-0 lead.
It was the second TD of the season for Smith-Schuster, who hadn’t been in the box since September.
