C.J. Gardner-Johnson ejected for two unsportsmanlike conduct penalties, flips off crowd as he leaves

Eagles defensive back C.J. Gardner-Johnson was ejected after his second unsportsmanlike conduct penalty.

It is unclear what he did either time to draw the penalties, but he likely said the magic words to either the officials or to Commanders players.

Gardner-Johnson raised both middle fingers to the Commanders crowd as he neared the tunnel after being escorted off the sideline by a team official.

In the first half, Gardner-Johnson and wide receiver Dyami Brown got into it after Jayden Daniels' 11-yard completion to Terry McLaurin. Brown pushed off Gardner-Johnson's helmet, but only Gardner-Johnson was penalized.

With 11:30 left in the third quarter, Brown fumbled after a 1-yard reception. Zack Baun forced the fumble, and Nolan Smith recovered.

After the change of possession, officials announced that Gardner-Johnson was disqualified with his second unsportsmanlike conduct penalty. Two unsportsmanlike conduct penalties are an automatic ejection.

Gardner-Johnson appeared both surprised and incensed on the sideline.

He made an interception, one tackle and a pass defensed.

The Eagles lead 24-14.
