Cowboys executive vice president Stephen Jones confirmed that cornerback Trevon Diggs will miss the rest of the 2024 season because of a knee injury and his recovery timeline is going to be an extended one.
Diggs has been dealing with knee issues for some time and Jones said on 105.3 The Fan that the corner suffered "a new injury that has to do with cartilage." That will require a surgical fix and Jones said that he does not expect Diggs will be ready to get on the field when they get to training camp next summer.
"I don’t think he’ll be a player during training camp. I think his timeline is going to be right about the start of the season," Jones said, via Jon Machota of TheAthletic.com.
Diggs tore his ACL early in the 2023 season, so he's no stranger to long rehab roads although that's unlikely to make the process any easier over the coming months.
