Cowboys owner Jerry Jones said that linebacker DeMarvion Overshown's knee injury was "very concerning" on Monday night and a Tuesday update was in line with that initial response.
During an appearance on 105.3 The Fan, Jones said that the team is still waiting for full MRI results to determine the full extent of Overshown's injury but that they know that the 2023 third-round pick will need to have season-ending surgery.
Those results will also give the Cowboys some idea of what Overshown's timeline for recovery will look like because Jones said he does not know if a 2025 return is in the cards at this point.
Overshown missed his rookie season with a torn ACL, but has appeared in every game for the Cowboys this season. He started 12 of those games and has 90 tackles, five sacks, an interception return for a touchdown, a forced fumble, and a fumble recovery.
