Two regional rivals completed a minor deal just before Friday’s NHL trade deadline.
The New Jersey Devils acquired defenceman Dennis Cholowski from the New York Islanders in exchange for forward Adam Beckman, the Devils announced.
Cholowski, 27, has three goals and seven assists in 33 games for the Islanders this season.
Beckman, 23, has played the entire season with AHL Utica.
