Dom’s BW title reign is highly overrated. Dom’s legend supersedes his actual resume and quality of opposition he beat. Dom’s early career was filled with him beating natural 125ers because WEC/UFC did not have a 125 pound division. Mighty Mouse, Joe B, and McCall are natural FLWs. Even guys like Jorgensen went down to 125. The best actual BWs Dom beat from that era were Faber (who beat him once), and Bowles. Dom spent most of his time injured when Barao was beating the actual 135ers when that division started to become more established. There’s a reason Dom avoided that TJ rematch like the plague and decided to fight an ancient Faber and a green Cody, who ended up embarrassing him anyway.
