Drew Lock throws two pick-sixes, Michael Penix's first career pick is a drop by Kyle Pitts
Michael Penix had a solid first half as the Falcons' starting quarterback, but it would have been better if he had gotten some help from tight end Kyle Pitts.
Michael Penix had a solid first half as the Falcons' starting quarterback, but it would have been better if he had gotten some help from tight end Kyle Pitts.
With just seconds remaining in the first half, Penix hit Pitts in the hands inside the 5-yard line. But Pitts, appearing to want to lunge the ball forward toward the goal line, never got possession of it and ended up dropping the ball into the hands of Giants defensive back Cor'Dale Flott.
But the Falcons don't need a lot from Penix and the offense because the Giants' offense has been a disaster. Giants quarterback Drew Lock has thrown two pick-sixes, one to Jessie Bates and one to Matthew Judon.
The Falcons lead 24-7, and it doesn't look like the Giants' offense is going to be able to do anything to stop Penix from getting his first career win.
