After missing 15 games due to a knee injury, Calgary Flames forward Connor Zary will finally return to the lineup.
Zary has not played since a Jan. 7 game against the Anaheim Ducks but will suit up Sunday night against the San Jose Sharks.
Before his injury, Zary was tied for fourth in Flames points with 10 goals and 12 assists in 40 games.
He was selected by the Flames in the first round of the 2020 NHL Draft and had 14 goals and 20 assists in 63 games last season.
Meanwhile, though Kevin Bahl was also expected to return to the lineup on Sunday, he will remain out for now due to illness.
Bahl has missed the team’s last eight games with an upper-body injury.
The Flames defenceman was injured on Jan. 25 when Minnesota Wild forward Jakub Lauko hit him from behind, sending him head-first into the boards.
The six-foot-six 24-year-old had two goals, 14 points, a plus-1 rating, and 77 blocked shots through 46 games.
Catch Zary’s return to the ice as the Flames take on the Sharks on Sportsnet and Sportsnet+ starting at 5 p.m. PT / 6 p.m. MT.
