The 32 finalists for the Bill Masterton Memorial Trophy all overcame challenges and pushed through adversity in their own unique ways to excel on the ice and make important contributions to their teams.
The finalists, one representing each NHL team, were announced on Wednesday morning.
The award is given annually to “who best exemplifies the qualities of perseverance, sportsmanship, and dedication to hockey” and is voted on by each local chapter of the Professional Hockey Writers Association.
Recent winners include Connor Ingram, Kris Letang and Carey Price.
