How I hope Pereira vs Ankalaev goes
The ring bells for the first round and Pereira is looking good. He is piecing up Ankalaev and already after a minute Ank is cut above his right eye (from Alex’s left hooks). After half a round Ankalaev shoots for his first takedown which Alex stuffs without any problems. Good first round for Alex. Nothing special happens in the second and third and they are another two clear 10-9 rounds for Pereira. Big Ank is getting desperate. His corner is frustrated and telling him to chain multiple takedowns but Ank is exhausted and doesn’t know what to do. The fourth starts and Alex is styling on Ank, throwing spinning shit and it seems like Alex has a gas tank that would go on all day. After the fourth Ankalevs whole face is bleeding. A doctor is taking a very good look between the rounds. Ankalaevs corner is screaming at him and telling him he needs to KO Alex now if he wants to win. The last round starts and nothing Alex is doing his thing again. The damage of all the leg and calve kicks that Pereira has landed have accumulated and Ankalaev barely manages to stand. In the last 15 seconds Pereira does the "Max Holloway pointing to the ground" and Ankalaev smiles and shoots for his dear life. Alex is surprised and confused. He tries to sprawl and land a knee at the same time and somehow manages to know poke both Ankalaevs eyes and also throw an illegal knee that knocks Big Ank tf out. Pereira is disqualified… The belt is wrapped around Ankalaevs unconscious body. We have a new champion. The rematch is immediately booked. This time with Magomed Ankalaev as the reigning champion. Magomed keeps pulling out of their fights until Dana threatens to strip his title if he pulls another time. In their second fight it seems to be the same fight except this time the first three rounds are very close although you can see Ankalaev breathing very heavily after the third. Pereira starts the fourth round very strong landing a lead high kick to Magomeds temple which drops him. Ankalaev spends the whole round on his back getting ground and pounded by Alex while the whole stadium is crying (the rematch takes place in Saudi Arabia btw). The fifth round starts and Magomed is is too tired to do anything so he just starts running away from Alex. It goes to decision and Bruce Buffer is announcing it. One judge scored it 48-47 Ankalaev and another scored it the other way around. All of a sudden we Bruce say "and Sal D'amato scored it 49-46 for… AND STILL!" The whole crowd starts wiping their tears and hugging while all the Poatards start crying behind their screen and spamming Reddit with pictures of Ankalaev calling him an inbred goblin. 1 year later… Pereira has never been the same ever since… he has only won one fight and lost two against new top 10 fighters. He is washed now. After Ankalaevs horrible performances against Pereira and now "having Pereiras number" Jon Jones has now seen an opportunity to get another easy fight and title defense. Somehow Ankalaev has won their fight and is now considered by some the GOAT. Tom Aspinall has retired after defending his interim belt for another two times against Gane and Volkov after he realized that Shamil Gaziev would be his next title defense. The end. submitted by /u/AbuHuraira- [link] [comments]
