All-star goaltender Jeremy Swayman is returning to the Boston Bruins

The pending restricted free agent re-signed with the Bruins to an eight-year, $66-million contract, Sportsnet’s Elliotte Friedman reports.

In 44 games last season, Swayman had a 2.53 goals-against average and a .916 save percentage, with a 25-10-8 record and three shutouts. In 12 games through the Bruins’ playoff run, the 25-year-old netminder posted a .933 save percentage, but couldn’t carry his team past the second round.

Playing all four seasons of his NHL career with the Bruins, Swayman has a career .919 save percentage and a 2.34 goals-against average, with one assist. He won the William Jennings Trophy alongside Linus Ullmark in 2022-23.

Swayman was originally selected in the fourth round, 111th overall, of the 2017 NHL Draft by the Bruins.
