Forward Alex Iafallo signed a three-year, $11 million contract extension, the team announced on Wednesday.
Iafallo’s current deal was set to expire after this season.
Iafallo, 31, came to the Jets from the Los Angeles Kings in the Pierre-Luc Dubois trade prior to last season and has since suited up in every game for Winnipeg.
For this season, the Eden, N.Y., left winger has totalled 15 goals and 16 assists for 31 points to go with a plus-21 mark.
An undrafted free agent signed by the Kings in 2017, Iafallo has played in 583 career games, recording 262 points (111 goals, 151 assists) as well as 10 points (five goals, five assists) in 21 post-season contests.
The Jets have already clinched the best record with one game to spare at 55-22-4 for 114 points. They will face the St. Louis Blues, who locked up the second wild-card spot Tuesday, in the first round of the playoffs.
