On Thursday against the Nashville Predators, the 27-year-old McDavid surpassed 1,000 career points in his 659th game, becoming the fourth-fastest player to do so after Wayne Gretzky (424), Mario Lemieux (513), and Mike Bossy (656).
The Edmonton Oilers captain is also the fourth-youngest NHLer to achieve the milestone.
