It's true at every level of every sport. It was proven again on Saturday, when the Lions waived safety Brandon Joseph on the same day he was arrested for suspicion of operating a vehicle under the influence.
Via Dave Birkett of the Detroit Free Press, Joseph was pulled over for speeding at 1:47 a.m. Saturday and taken into custody.
Safety Ifeatu Melifonwu was activated from injured reserve. Which means Joseph's roster spot might have been in jeopardy anyway.
Undrafted in 2023, Joseph spent two seasons with the Lions. He appeared in 14 games with one start in 2024.
