The Toronto Maple Leafs continue to pile up wins on the west coast.
Toronto picked up a 3-1 victory over the Seattle Kraken for a third-straight win on their road trip.
Anthony Stolarz made 27 saves playing in his first game since Dec. 12. The Leafs netminder was one of the NHL’s top goalies with a 2.15 goals-against average and .927 save percentage.
Philippe Myers got the Leafs on the board as he beat Joey Daccord with a point shot that deflected off forward Matty Beniers. It was Myers’ first goal since November 2022.
Bobby McMann added to the Leafs lead late in the first period tipping a pass from Morgan Rielly on the power-play goal. It was McMann’s third goal on the road trip and fourth in his last five games.
Matthews Knies made it 3-0 in the second period after tipping a shot from Jake McCabe past Accord. The play was reviewed for a high stick but the call on the ice was confirmed.
Eeli Tolvanen got Seattle on the board early in the third period, beating Stolarz with a wrist shot to cut the deficit to 3-1.
Mitch Marner registered an assist in his return to the lineup. He missed Tuesday’s game against the Calgary Flames with a lower-body injury.
