Maple Leafs clinch home ice in Round 1 with OT win over Canadiens
The Toronto Maple Leafs will have a big advantage heading into the playoffs. With an overtime winner over the Montreal Canadiens, the Maple Leafs have ensured they’ll finish no lower than second in the Atlantic Division and therefore ensured home-ice advantage in Round 1. Mitch Marner scored the game-winner for the Maple Leafs, which was the only tally of the game. The Canadiens, who could have clinched a playoff spot with a win, will have to wait a bit longer to claim their spot in the dance. More to come.
