The Raiders are 2-11, but any decisions about head coach Antonuio Pierce's future will not be made until after all 17 games have been played.
Raiders owner Mark Davis told reporters at Wednesday's league meetings that he is disappointed with how Pierce's first full season in the job has unfolded. Pierce was 5-4 as the team's interim head coach last year and was hired on a permanent basis early this year, but he hasn't been able to sustain that success.
Davis said that he won't be in a position to make any full evaluation of Pierce and the team until after the season comes to an end.
Pierce replaced Josh McDaniels, who was hired after a 2021 season that saw Jon Gruden and Rich Bisaccia serve as the the team's head coaches. McDaniels was fired during his second season on the job, so there's been a lot of coaching changes in Vegas over the last few years. That might lessen the desire to make another one, but Tom Brady will be involved in conversations as a minority owner this time around and his voice could factor in any decision the team winds up making.
