Mets’ Jose Siri leaves games vs. Athletics with left shin contusion, considered day-to-day
Mets center fielder Jose Siri left Saturday’s game vs. the Athletics in the top of the second.

Mets CF Jose Siri left Saturday’s game vs. the Athletics in the top of the second after fouling a ball off his leg and the team announced he suffered a left shin contusion and is considered day-to-day.
Siri went down in a heap of pain after fouling the first pitch off his left leg during his at-bat with two outs.
The speedster remained down for quite some time before needing assistance from trainers limping back to the dugout and then was carted to the clubhouse in left-centerfield.
Tyrone Taylor took over the at-bat and struck out swinging two pitches later.
Siri is 0-for-11 over his last seven games, but he's provided a nice boost for the Mets with his speed and defense.
This is a developing story and will be updated...
