Former Falcons and Eagles quarterback Michael Vick has interviewed for the head coaching vacancy at Norfolk State.
Former Falcons and Eagles quarterback Michael Vick has interviewed for the head coaching vacancy at Norfolk State.
Vick confirmed to The Virginian-Pilot and Daily Press that he spoke with Norfolk University president and athletic director and is expecting a resolution “soon.”
While Vick does not have formal coaching experience, he said, “I know how to lead and I know what it takes.”
Norfolk State, a public historically black university in Norfolk, Va., fired its previous coach, Dawson Odums, on Nov. 26. He had gone 15-31 in four seasons with the program.
Vick has served as an analyst for Fox Sports since 2017.
