Edmonton Oilers superstar Connor McDavid had a goal against the visiting Nashville Predators on Thursday, bringing him to 1,000 career points.
Leon Draisaitl dished off to McDavid on a two-on-one to tie the game at 1-1 in the second period.
The captain hit the historic total in 659 games, becoming the fourth-fastest in NHL history to complete the feat, behind only Wayne Gretzky, Mario Lemieux and Mike Bossy.
The goal brings McDavid up to 18 points in 14 games this season.
Even after missing a week with an ankle injury earlier in November, the three-time Hart Trophy winner is on pace for 107 points this season. He’s achieved the century mark seven other times in his career.
McDavid had four points in a win against the New York Islanders in the team’s last game on Tuesday, giving him a chance to accomplish the feat at home.
The Oilers head out on an eastern road trip after Thursday’s game.
