Claude Giroux‘s partnership with Hyundai Canada might end up coming in handy.

The Ottawa Senators forward reportedly had his loaner car stolen on Thursday morning, making it the second time in a four month span that Giroux and his wife, Ryanne, have been victims of vehicle theft.

“Good morning to everyone except the people who stole our loaner car… lol,” Ryanne wrote on twitter.

The couple initially had one of their vehicles stolen out of their driveway in Ottawa on Sept. 25.

He and Ryanne did a commercial for Hyundai Canada that airs during NHL games.

Giroux, 37, is in his third season with the Senators after he signed a three-year, $19.5 million deal with Ottawa ahead of the 2022-23 season.

The Hearst, Ont. native has strong ties to Ottawa — he played his Junior ‘A’ (Cumberland Grads) and Major Junior (Gatineau Olympiques) hockey in the capital area from 2004 to 2008.

Giroux has played in all 82 games for the Senators in each of the past two seasons and has played in all 47 games thus far in 2024-25. He has nine goals and 21 assists this season.
