The Florida Panthers signed the forward to a two-year extension on Tuesday with an average annual value of $1.5 million, the team announced.
Boqvist, 26, has a career-high 12 goals to go along with 10 assists in 59 games this season.
Boqvist became an unrestricted free agent when the Boston Bruins did not give him a qualifying offer after last season. He then signed a one-year, $775,000 deal with the Panthers.
The Swede has 46 goals and 45 assists for 91 career points with the New Jersey Devils, Bruins and Panthers.
The Devils picked Boqvist in the second round (36th overall) of the 2017 NHL Draft.
