Vincent Desharnais is on the move once again.

The Pittsburgh Penguins traded the defenceman to the San Jose Sharks in exchange for a fifth-round draft pick in 2028.

Desharnais, 28, started the season with the Vancouver Canucks, with whom he signed as a free agent over the summer. He was part of the deal that sent Marcus Pettersson and Drew O’Connor to Vancouver at the end of January.

In 44 games this season split between the Penguins and Canucks, Desharnais has three assists and is averaging about 15 minutes on ice per night.
