Question on pausing of fight and what position is resumed

I was discussing with some friends about what happens when a fight is paused and resumed when one fighter is in top position on the ground. While the obvious result should be to reset the position and resume, we were wondering if any fight had been paused in such a manner and then resumed on the feet.
