8 News in Las Vegas reports that officers booked Snowden into the Clark County Detention Center early Tuesday morning and released him.
Police stopped Snowden after receiving a report about a suspicious vehicle and he was ultimately given a misdemeanor charge of "DUI of alcohol and/or controlled or prohibited substance, first offense."
The 26-year-old Snowden originally signed with the Raiders' practice squad a year ago. This year he has played in all 13 games, with seven starts, and has been on the field for 36 percent of the Raiders' defensive snaps and 30 percent of special teams snaps.
Last year the Raiders cut safety Roderic Teamer the day after he was arrested for DUI. That was seen as a strong message given the Raiders' history with drunk driving, which includes their former first-round draft pick Henry Ruggs killing a woman while driving drunk in 2021 and being sentenced to 3-10 years in prison. It is not yet known whether the Raiders will release Snowden.
