As the Prime Video schedule for 2024 pulls into the station, Al Michaels won't be.
The legendary play-by-play announcer will return for 2025, according to Andrew Marchand of TheAthletic.com.
He'll continue on a year-to-year basis, at a salary roughly in the range of $15 million.
The news comes at a time when TNF viewership continues to increase, putting it ahead of cable-only offerings from ESPN and in the general vicinity of combined cable and broadcast Monday night games.
Last week's Packers-Lions game averaged 18.48 million. Tonight's game between the Rams and 49ers should do well, too.
Prime Video has two remaining regular-season games, along with a wild-card playoff game.
Michaels has been a fixture of NFL broadcasts for decades. He joined Monday Night Football in 1986. In 2006, he moved to NBC for Sunday Night Football. This is his third year on Thursday nights.
