Despite predominantly selling ahead of Friday’s trade deadline, the Boston Bruins made an addition right before the buzzer sounded.

The Bruins acquired defenceman Henri Jokiharju from the Buffalo Sabres for a fourth-round pick in the 2026 NHL Draft, both teams announced.

The pick originally belonged to the Edmonton Oilers.

Jokiharju, 25, has three goals and three assists in 42 games for the Sabres this season while carrying a plus-6 rating in an average of 16:18 time on ice per game.

The Finnish blueliner was selected by the Sabres 29th overall in 2017 and has 19 goals and 74 assists in 389 games in Buffalo.

He was selected as an injury replacement for Dallas Stars defenceman Miro Heiskanen for Finland at the 4 Nations Face-Off in February.
