Should i go back to mma?
Hey everyone, I’m seeking some perspective on my current interest. I’ve been wanting to get back into MMA and BJJ for a while, but I struggle with consistency and discipline. Financial considerations have also made it challenging. I believe I might be able to manage my commitments better now. I have some experience with: - Muay Thai (about 4 months) - BJJ (about 3 months) Due to various commitments and the impact of COVID, I’ve had to step back from training. I also sustained an injury that kept me away from MMA for some time. In my 30s, I was never particularly athletic, and I’ve only recently become more active. I find myself feeling less strong and conditioned compared to my early 20s. At 5'5", learning MMA is especially frustrating for me, as I feel I’m at a disadvantage when it comes to size and strength. The main reason I want to return to training is to build confidence and improve my self-defense skills, especially in stressful situations. Although I’m in my 30s, I feel like I haven’t reached my full potential yet. I’d appreciate any feedback you might have. I know this community can be tough on constructive criticism, but I’m open to it! Thanks! Feel free to adjust any part to better match your voice! submitted by /u/Far_Promise_9903 [link] [comments]
