The Vancouver Canucks got some encouraging news after practice Tuesday as goalie Thatcher Demko was on the ice taking shots from teammates following the morning skate.
This isn’t the first time Demko has been on the ice taking shots as he also did the same on Saturday after the team’s morning skate.
Demko was placed on the season-opening injured non-roster while rehabbing a knee injury.
The Canucks are waiting for Demko to get medically cleared before returning to team practice.
The 28-year-old didn’t suit up for the Canucks in the pre-season and his status was a top storyline throughout training camp.
The 28-year-old first suffered the injury in March and was sidelined for 14 games. He returned in time to finish out the regular season but was injured in the Canucks’ first playoff game and missed the remainder of their post-season run.
