Head coach Kyle Shanahan noted it’s becoming more and more unlikely that left tackle Trent Williams will not play again in 2024.
“If he could get back to healthy, we'd play him, but it's not like that right now," Shanahan said, via David Bonilla of 49erswebzone.com. "So it's getting closer to being that way.”
Williams has been dealing with an ankle injury and has not played since the Oct. 17 loss to Seattle.
Running back Isaac Guerendo, who has been dealing with a foot sprain, is now also dealing with a hamstring injury and is not slated to practice on Wednesday.
Defensive end Nick Bosa (hip, oblique), tackle Jaylon Moore (hip), safety Malik Mustapha (chest), linebacker Dre Greenlaw (Achilles, knee), and offensive lineman Nick Zakelj (illness) also won’t practice for the 49ers on Wednesday.
