Was Islam's wrestling weaker in the Dustin fight compared to some of his other fights?

Might be a dumb post but on rewatch Islam was shooting some weak single legs and even telegraphing some of his takedowns in the 2nd and 3rd round, he was able to take down dustin against the cage but in open space his takedowns seemed somewhat flimsy compared to how he usually looks. In the volk fight Islam was timing perfect single legs and double legs on volk who's like 5'5 and built like a meatball yet he was shooting significantly slower and less impressive takedowns on Dustin.
