Wild sign G Riley Mercer to three-year entry-level contract
Goalie Riley Mercer has agreed to a three-year, entry-level contract with the Wild, the team announced on Friday.

Mercer most recently played with the Drummondville Voltigeurs of the QMJHL. Through 46 games this season, the 21-year-old went 27-15-4, holding a 2.53 goals-against average and .925 save percentage. Mercer also logged five shutouts.
The six-foot-two, 203-pound netminder led the QMJHL in save percentage, tied for first for total shutouts and placed third in GAA, fifth in saves and tied for seventh for wins.
Mercer helped the Voltigeurs win the QMJHL title last season, posting a 16-2-1 post-season record. He recorded a 1.89 GAA, .934 save percentage and one shutout in 19 playoff games.
Mercer is the franchise leader in wins, shutouts, shootout wins, games played and minutes, and his .907 career save percentage also ranks first in team history.
